Saturday May 18 Will See The Leek Rotary Club’s Sixth Auto Extravaganza Hosted At Heakley Hall Farm

Saturday May 18 will see the Leek Rotary Club’s sixth Auto Extravaganza hosted at Heakley Hall Farm in Norton.

This event, which had humble beginnings at Wetley Rocks, is now well established on the classic vehicle circuit with six acres of vehicle displays, covered areas for model, trade stands and ample visitor parking adjacent.

In addition to cars, lorries, motorbikes, tractors and auto-jumble there are fair ground rides, a pets corner, catering outlets and, this year, a Fun Dog Show.

Last year more than 2,000 visitors enjoyed a glorious day and listened to live music all in aid of Horton Lodge School Pre-School Club which is one of the many local charities supported by Leek Rotary.

As well as vintage vehicles there are displays of new 4×4 vehicles and demonstrations by an ‘Advanced Motorist’ group. The Leek Rotary Club are helped with the parking of cars by Air Cadets with public catering from their own team of ‘Barbecue Chefs’.

The vehicle theme is carried through to a prize draw which will take place at 5pm which includes the use of a Range Rover for the day.

Last year the members of Leek Rotary raised, and helped others raise, a total of £38,400 which was distributed amongst 35 local, national and international charities. Members also enjoyed fellowship and social activities.
