Moorlands home link safe until 2021



Moorlands home link has been saved until march 2021 after funding from the Clinical commissioning group which was under threat has now been extended. after they recognized the huge part Voluntary Sector organisations play in supporting some of the most vulnerable residents and recognise how quickly they have responded and mobilised support in relation to the COVID-19 outbreak. Following a review by the North Staffordshire and Stoke on CCG the £70,000 grant award that Moorlands Home Link receives was under threat

A spokesperson for Moorlands homelink said “we recently received the news that the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has extended our contract until March 2021 meaning this funding is secured for now.

The CCG said that they recognise the huge part Voluntary Sector organisations play in supporting some of the most vulnerable residents and recognise how quickly they have responded and mobilised support in relation to the COVID-19 outbreak. This came at a crucial time for our Charity as we very quickly tried to refocus our efforts and support our clients and the local community as part of the Covid-19 response in the Staffordshire Moorlands. We cannot thank you all enough for your support following the announcement that our funding was under threat. We received so many letters, emails, and completed surveys into our office. We will always be grateful for your support.”
