Fire crews free trapped man in RTC


Emergency services are currently in attendance at an RTC on the A53 Buxton road after being alerted at around 4:00pm.

Fire crews from Leek are currently using cutting equipment to free one man following the RTC

A spokesperson for Staffordshire fire and rescue said “Crews from Leek dealing with a two car road traffic collision on the A53 Buxton Road this afternoon. Cutting equipment being used to free one trapped man. Motorists told to avoid the area as the road is closed. Police and ambulance colleagues also in attendance.” Just after 4pm West Midlands Ambulance services were alerted to the collision and currently have the air ambulance in attendance from Tattenhill and two land ambulances in attendance a spokesperson for WMAS said “We were called at 4:03pm to reports of a two car collision on Buxton Road. We currently have the Midlands Air Ambulance from Tatenhill, two land ambulances and a paramedic officer at the scene.”
