Dispersal orders remain in Werrington to combat Youth anti-social behaviour

Chief Inspector Mark Thorley has reviewed dispersal orders that were put in place in various parts of the moorlands. Orders around the Dovedale area will be removed as issues have fallen but dispersal orders remain in Werrington for the weekend following reports of Youth Anti-social behaviour.

Police will be in the area seeking the cause of recent anti social behaviour. The dispersal order means police can issue the instruction to disperse people who wont be allowed to return to the area for a 48 hour period.

Chief inspector Mark Thorley took to Twitter to share the update

"Today I reviewed the need for dispersal orders in the Moorlands, Dovedale and surrounding areas will be ended as issues have reduced. The area will continue to be part of a patrol plan so should similar issues resurface I will consider the need to reauthorise.

The dispersal order for Werrington due to youth ASB is to remain for the weekend as there are still some issues unfortunately. My team will be in the area seeking to identify those causing or likely to cause ASB, issuing orders to leave the area where appropriate."
