Coronavirus: The latest figures from across Staffordshire and Stoke

A daily increase of around 2,000 coronavirus cases in the UK takes the total number of cases to over 267,000.

Over the last 24 hours 12 new cases in Staffordshire takes the total to 2,219 with 214 of them across the Moorlands, an increase of 2.

Stoke-on Trent is recorded separately from the rest of Staffordshire and 5 new cases there takes the total to 749.

The number of people who’ve died with the virus in the UK has increased by 412 bringing the total UK figure to just over 37,400 of them 298 occurred at the university hospitals of North Midlands an increase of 3

Including royal Stoke Nursing assitant Sylvia Tideswell who died at the hospital on Monday.

The Midlands Partnership NHS foundation trust have recorded two futher deaths taking the total to 9. The North Staffordshire Combined healthcare trust has recorded a total of 6 deaths.
