Coronavirus: Latest local figures as daily deaths at lowest since lockdown begun

The number of coronavirus cases in the UK has increased by around 1,200 in the last 24 hours taking the UK total to just below 287,400.

There are now 2,290 cases in Staffordshire after a daily increase of 1, Of those cases there are 224 in The moorlands which is an increase of 1.


Stoke-on-Trent is recorded separately from the rest of the county and had 812 confirmed cases, a daily increase of 3.

The number of people who've died with the virus has increased by 55, the lowest since lockdown restrictions were implemented.


The daily increase takes the total UK figure to just below 40,600.


The university hospitals of North Midlands haven't recorded any further deaths keeping the total there at 315.


The Midlands Partnership NHS foundation and The North Staffordshire Combined healthcare trust haven’t recorded any new deaths .
