Coronavirus: Latest local figures

A daily increase of around 1,600 coronavirus cases in the UK takes the total number of cases to over 261,000.

Over the last 24 hours 13 new cases in Staffordshire takes the total to 2,196 with 209 of them across the Moorlands, an increase of 3.

Stoke-on Trent is recorded separately from the rest of Staffordshire and 3 new cases there takes the total to 743.

The number of people who’ve died with the virus in the UK has increased by 121 bringing the total UK figure to just over 36,900 of them 292 occurred at the university hospitals of North Midlands an increase of 2

The Midlands Partnership NHS foundation trust have recorded 7 deaths and the North Staffordshire Combined healthcare trust has recorded a sixth death.
