Coronavirus: Latest figures from across the area

The total of coronavirus cases in the UK now stands just below 278,000 after a daily increase of around 1,600 cases

Cases in Staffordshire saw an increase of 9 in the last 24 hours and the total now stands at 2,265 with 222 of the across them moorlands, an increase of 1.

Stoke-on Trent is recorded separately form the rest of the county and has recorded 7 new cases taking the total to 784.

The number of people who’ve died with the virus in the UK has increased by 324 bringing the total UK figure to just above 39,300 of them 305 occurred at the university hospitals of North Midlands, an increase of 1.

The Midlands Partnership NHS foundation trust have recorded a 10th death and The North Staffordshire Combined healthcare trust has recorded a total of 6.
